Music Producer / Bass Player / Composer
Steve Dwire has always been just a bit ahead of his time. Whether it be as a young producer in New York City and creating "Fanny's Bizness," a Hip Hop track written and performed by Patrick King (years before The Beastie Boys exploded) with heavy metal guitars and a smoking trombone solo played by premier jazz musician Robin Eubanks, to producing one of the first records released on the then "new" Compact Disc format. Initially a drummer, then a bass player, and a photographer who a year and a half after picking up his first camera was being represented by 4 galleries.
During a conversation with fellow artist Erick Montgomery, they both spoke about new ways to combine still imagery, video, live and recorded music in a cutting edge format. They both explored many ideas. Steve captured some amazing photo images and soon called longtime friend and music colleague Jerry Marrota who loved the idea. As there were many live performance possibilities, Erick drew on his experience with theater and film producers and researched the Dome / Planetarium 2D, 3D immersive cinema formats.
Steve, Erick and Jerry continue to work closely to realize the concept and music components that are now, Wheel: The Amazing Adventures of Chip & Sky.
